Chatswood · Anderson St · 2BR + study apartment · 117 sqm · Staged in one day, camera-ready by 2pm · Live campaign · Chatswood unit median DOM: 40 days (CoreLogic 2026)
By the time the ninth floor came up, The Chatswood already had two apartments for sale. Goldpac had staged both of them, for two different agents. Now a third agent in the same building on Anderson Street needed what every agent needs when the neighbours list first: a reason for buyers to remember this one. The brief, in plain terms, was to compete with Goldpac's own work under the same roof — and not repeat it.
The owners had lived here and moved to a new house. What they left behind was 117 square metres of wide oak boards, white walls and black window frames, wrapped around a glass corner that looks straight at the neighbouring towers. Empty, the size worked against it. A long open-plan room with nothing in it reads as distance rather than space; the eye runs through the glass to the next building, and the apartment becomes a view of someone else's balconies. In a building where buyers could walk three listings, the empty one would be the easiest to forget.
The first decision was to split the room. The linen slip-covered sofa was floated in the middle of the floor with its back to the dining table, so one open plan now reads as two rooms: a lounge facing the terrace and a dining corner by the kitchen. Everything in the lounge stayed low — the sofa, a matching armchair, an oval glass-topped coffee table on a sculpted stone base — so the glass wall remains the tallest thing in the room and the line of sight runs clear to the terrace. A cream rug with a raised linear weave holds the zone together on the oak. A tall fig stands where the glass meets the curtain, a palm in a seagrass basket answers it across the room, and a rattan tripod lamp puts warm light into the corner by the hallway.
The dining table is round, on a black slatted pedestal, with four bentwood cane chairs. A round top keeps the path clear where the kitchen, the lounge and the terrace doors meet, and the black base ties back to the window frames. A sage vase of white stems and a bowl of artichokes and green fruit carry the green of the plants to the kitchen end. Over a low open console, a large sand-toned landscape canvas gives the room a horizon where the windows only offer towers.
The terrace was treated as a second lounge, not a balcony. A timber-framed outdoor sofa and armchair, a low timber table and green cushions turn the deep covered deck into somewhere a buyer can picture a Sunday — and the green repeats the fig just inside the glass, so the eye moves from inside to outside without a break. That is where the extra metres stop being a number in the listing and start being an evening.
In the bedroom, a full-height window looks straight into the next tower. The answer was warmth rather than cover: an oatmeal upholstered headboard with brass stud trim, blush bedding, white bouclé and pom-pom cushions, mirrored bedsides and pleated lamps on curved black stems. A textured cream artwork sits between the tall window and the high window above the bed, so the wall reads balanced rather than punctured. On the bedside, a single red glass bottle and a white orchid give the room one sharp note of colour.
None of it arrives without the building's permission. At The Chatswood the lift has to be booked in advance, the way to it is tight and the corridors are narrow, so the install ran to the building's timetable, not the truck's. Every piece, from the sofa to the outdoor lounge, went up in the booked lift and along those corridors against a 2pm deadline. By 2pm the apartment was staged and camera-ready — lamps on, throws placed, the terrace set — and the campaign date did not move. Goldpac's small green dinosaur, which travels with the installs for luck, ended up on the sofa throw and stayed there.
The campaign is live, a few minutes' walk from Chatswood Interchange, the Metro and Westfield. Chatswood units take a median 40 days to sell (CoreLogic 2026), and this one goes up against two well-dressed neighbours in the same building. That is the test of home staging Sydney agents can actually measure: not whether a room looks finished, but whether it is the one buyers still remember on the way home. The result will be added here when it lands.

Goldpac PTY LTD, Sydney, provides property staging for sale campaigns — one stylist directs the install and the home is staged and camera-ready on the agreed day. On Anderson Street, Chatswood NSW 2067, in the City of Willoughby, that meant a vacant two-bedroom-plus-study apartment of 117 square metres on the ninth floor of The Chatswood, completed in one day by the same stylist and camera-ready by 2pm through a lift booked in advance. It is the third listing in the building Goldpac has staged, and it follows an earlier one-bedroom-plus-study project on the same street. The campaign is live, measured against a Chatswood unit median of 40 days on market (CoreLogic 2026).
Chatswood units took a median 40 days to sell (CoreLogic 2026), and in the towers around the Interchange the competition is often a few floors away in the same building. The buyer for 117 square metres with a study is specific: a downsizer leaving a North Shore house who wants a lift, a terrace and no lawn, or a professional couple who need the study as a real office and the Metro at the door. For both, the terrace decides it — read as an outdoor room with a sofa and a table, it justifies the size; read as a deep strip of tiles facing other buildings, the apartment gets compared on price per square metre with every other unit in the block. That one room is where home staging Sydney agents can rely on does its real work in a building like The Chatswood, and this campaign is tracking against the 40-day benchmark.
What is included in Goldpac's staging price?
Full furniture staging and accessories, styled on site by the stylist who quoted the job, delivery, installation, up to 12 weeks of furniture hire and removal at the end of the campaign. From $2,300 +GST for a one-bedroom apartment, fixed before the job starts. Full pricing at goldpac.com.au/pricing-package.
How fast can a property be staged in Sydney?
Address to installed staging in as little as 24–48 hours when access is confirmed and the pieces are available. The install runs to a booked window — in apartment buildings, often the lift booking — so the rest of the campaign can be booked around it.
What does the agent actually have to do?
Send the address and confirm access, including any lift booking the building requires. Quote, measure, furniture selection, delivery, install, styling and removal all sit with Goldpac. One stylist owns the job from quote to removal — the agent makes one call and the date holds. One contractor, one invoice, one point of contact.
How do you stage an apartment when two others in the same Chatswood building are already for sale?
Give buyers a different first impression, not a better copy of the same one. On Anderson Street the ninth floor got its own layout move — a floated sofa that turns one open plan into two rooms — a palette of cane, linen and stone, and a terrace furnished as a second lounge. Buyers comparing one building remember the apartment with a room they can describe.
How do you style a Chatswood bedroom when the window faces the next tower?
Warm the room instead of hiding the view. Blush bedding, an upholstered headboard, bouclé cushions and two pleated lamps make the bed the focal point, and a textured artwork between the tall window and the high window balances the wall. The tower stays in the window; the eye stays on the bed.
