Chippendale | Sleek one-bedroom apartment with city views, now full of warmth and personality
When we first walked into this Level 13 apartment in One Central Park, the view did all the talking. Sydney’s skyline framed by glass, natural light pouring in — it was a stunner on paper.
But inside? It felt like every other investor-owned apartment: minimal to the point of being soulless. Sharp corners, empty walls, and a too-cold palette. It didn’t tell a story.
Our brief: create a home that buyers could feel themselves living in — not just another city pad.
We softened the space with textured layering: boucle cushions, natural-fibre throws, and warm timber tones to balance out the steel and glass. The living room received a curved coffee table and low-profile lounge to maintain sightlines (because, hello, that view deserves attention).
The dining corner, previously lost in the open-plan layout, now features a slimline round table with tonal chairs — instantly more intimate. In the bedroom, we added a linen bedhead, layered bedding, and matte-black reading lamps, making the space feel less like a display suite and more like a retreat.
On the balcony, we styled a simple café set with potted greenery: the kind of vignette that makes buyers imagine morning coffee with the city at their feet.
Result? The transformation turned this from “yet another apartment” into a statement home. At opens, buyers lingered longer — always a sign we’ve nailed the vibe.
“It finally feels like a place I’d actually live in,” one viewer told the agent.
Mission accomplished.
